Michelle LI (CAN)

On winning at least a silver medal:
 "I'm kind of speechless."

"I don't think we've won a medal since 1994 so I'm really happy."

On her win over Sarah WALKER (ENG):
"Yesterday I forgot the meaning of why I actually play badminton. Today was about playing for pleasure. Of course you want to win but you have to enjoy it."

"I was really nervous about last night's match and I had to tell myself to relax."

On her performance against SINDHU:
"I just wanted to play my best and she was tired. I got the best of it and I just kept fighting. I did not give up."

"We both found there was pressure. I kept telling myself to relax and to play with no fear."

On being the only non-British or Asian representative in the semi-finals of all six badminton events:
"I used that as motivation to me. I take it as a challenge. I am from North America and I want to show that American countries can still put up a fight in badminton."

"This win means a lot to Canada."

"I'm going to go and celebrate with my teammates now and look forward to tomorrow."
